Lori A. Ray, 32, Tyrone, died unexpectedly Sunday after a lengthy struggle with diabetes and heart disease.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of Samuel L. and Kathleen (Muhlbauer) Ray.

Surviving are her mother of Tyrone; her father of Milesburg; two brothers: Michael and wife, Tonia, of Tyrone and Stephen L. and wife, Heidi, of Bald Eagle; her grandmother, Catherine Muhlbauer of Altoona; aunts and uncles: Tom Ray and wife, Rebecca, Glenn Ray, Susan Bonsell and husband, Scott, and Mary Thomas and husband, Glenn; nieces and nephews: Corbin, Adara, Torrin, Braeden, and Camden; best friends: Christy Ray of Tyrone and Tracy Harbaugh of Roaring Spring; and her fiance, Ron D. Evans of Hollidaysburg.

She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and was a 1995 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. She was the manager of the Dollar Tree, Ebensburg, since 1997.

Lori was a hardworking people person who was very giving and loved animals.

She will always be remembered by Jeannie Evans, Regis and Dawn Nale and sons and Ellen Blum and Scott. Her fiance, Ron, says she was the most wonderful person in his life. He will never forget her and will always love her.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Thursday, May 21, 2009, at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Father Joseph T. Orr as celebrant. Committal will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1835 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
