Bowman hearing moved to today

April 22, 2009

The probation revocation hearing for Penn State football player Navorro Bowman that was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon has been pushed back until this morning at 8:30 in Centre County Court, said Tom Young, director of parole and probation for the county.

Bowman is on probation for his role in a 2007 campus fight, but that probation may be revoked after he allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana twice since December.

If the probation is revoked, sentencing is expected to occur Wednesday, as well.

Bowman could get more probation, a large fine, additional community service or possibly even jail time if his probation is revoked.
