Athlete of week achievement: Pitched a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts in a 7-0 win over Punxsutawney on Thursday. Also went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI in the game.

Season update: Smithmyer was the pitcher of record in both the Mountain Lions' games this year, picking up two wins. He has allowed three runs, four hits, five walks and struck out 29 opposing batters.
