MARTINSBURG -- Officials in the Martinsburg area warn that nitrate levels in local drinking water are too high to give to infants 6months or younger.
According to a press release Friday, sample results received on Thursday showed nitrate levels above the maximum contamination level. Nitrates in drinking water is a serious health concern for infants.
Citizens are urged not to boil the water, which will only potentially increase the nitrates level, and instead use bottled water.
