The Pauline Baker Rodgers School Of Dance will present "Spring Spectacular 2009" at 7 p.m. Friday at the Mishler Theatre, Altoona.
The show will feature several returning alumni as well as the dance school's 2 performing groups: the corps de ballet and the award winning competition team. Tickets are $10 and are available at the dance studio or at the door. The show will include choreography by the owner of the dance school, Miss Pauline, and her teaching staff. The dance school, formerly Ruth Barnes School Of Dance, has been devoted to dance in this community and performing at the Mishler Theatre since the early 1930s. The finale of the show will be a production called "Under The Sea" and will feature songs from the broadway musical "The Little Mermaid" with choreography by Rachel Monahan, granddaughter of Pauline Baker Rodgers, and stunning costumes and set designs by Cindy Rabold, local artist.
