Slow cooker recipes

2 to 3-pound pork roast

Garlic

Salt

Pepper

Bottle of barbecue sauce

Spray slow cooker with cooking spray. Place pork roast in slow cooker, make small slits in the roast all over. Insert peeled garlic cloves into pork roast.

Add approximately 1 cup water (depending on slow cooker you use, enough to cover bottom of pot and a little more so meat does not dry out). Top with salt and pepper. Cook on high 3 to 4 hours; low for 5 to 6 hours. Meat is done when you can easily shred it with a fork.

Once meat is done, remove the fat and shred the meat with a fork. Empty slow cooker of any fat and items left from cooking. Place meat back into slow cooker and add barbecue sauce until meat is thoroughly covered to your taste.

Place on kaiser roll. Serve with coleslaw and potato chips.
