DUNCANSVILLE - The Altoona Horseshoe Chorus held its officer installation banquet Jan. 23 at Halbritters Laurel Lodge.
Dean McKnight was installed as chapter president, John Tate as secretary and Bruce Brower as treasurer.
The chapter also recognized individuals who have contributed to the overall success of the chapter.

This years recipients were Michael Kuzio (Barbershopper of the Year), Michael Stuart (Presidents Award) and Harry Bailor (Agitator of the Year).
Kuzio has been instrumental in helping to develop the Youth in Harmony program and chapter communications (Web site and public relations).
Stuart (chorus director) was recognized for raising chorus performance to a new level. The Agitator award is given to an individual who keeps rehearsals on track through the use of wit and humor.
The chorus is in the midst of preparations for its annual show May 9 at the Mishler Theatre, Altoona. This years show will feature the quartet Our Town.
Two members of Our Town, Terry Clarke and Larry Tully, are originally from Altoona and performed with international gold medalist Boston Common. The show will feature a joint performance with the Altoona award-winning Sweet Adelines Chorus.
