Blair 4-H clubs reward members

WILLIAMSBURG -- The Blair County 4-H clubs held their county annual award banquet Nov. 8 at the Williamsburg Farm Show Building.

The following awards were given to the members and clubs for their achievements.

Officer awards

President -- Ashley Pletcher, Sinking Valley Club, first; Loran Brubaker, Lamb Chops, second; Jeremy Mock, Kids for Kids, third.

The local 4-H clubs are involved Operation Military Kids, which is administered through Penn State Cooperative Extension. It is to help children through a trying time when they have a parent serving overseas.

This year, Blair County donated eight "Hero Packs' to these children: Mason Houck, Dominic Houck, Katie Hoffman, Haley Hoffman, Shannyn Hoffman, Sara Shock, Kelsey Vaughn and Landon Vaughn.
