December 11, 2008
The Altoona Mirror

The Altoona ''Curve'aceous Cuties, a member of the National Red Hat Society, is selling a baseball-themed calendar, with help from the Altoona Curve, to raise money for the local chapter of Armed Forces Mothers. The group hopes to sell 1,000 calendars at $5 each and raise $5,000 for the Armed Forces Mothers to send care packages to U.S. troops in 2009. Calendars will be available for purchase Saturday at the Logan Valley Mall, Altoona, on the first floor by Payless Shoes and at several other locations.
