Snowball Shuffle golf tournament slated for Nov. 22.
People Helpers Inc. held its inaugural fundraiser for disabled veterans on Oct. 4 at the Park Hills Country Club, Altoona.
The fundraiser was for the families of deployed solders and the Disabled American Veterans organization.

The event was sponsored by Beerbower Jewelers and Staples.
The golf tournament, which was followed by a luncheon with music by One Brick Shy, raised $5,481.69.
Another golf tournament, "The Snowball Shuffle,' and dinner is planned for Nov. 22 at Park Hills. Golfing starts at 12:30 p.m., followed by a dinner at 4 p.m.
To golf in the event, the cost is $63 per person, which includes dinner.
Nongolfers can buy tickets for the dinner only at $10 per person. They are available at Texas Hot Dogs, 1122 12th Ave., Altoona.
Dinner tickets include music, food and a chance to win prizes, including a three-day, two-night stay for two anywhere in the U.S., sponsored by Evolving Technology.
