Lady Spikers hand Punxsutawney first setback
PUNXSUTAWNEY - Altoona got a big win, beating previously unbeaten Punxsutawney, 25-17, 25-19, 24-26, 25-12, in high school girls volleyball Monday.
Kaitlyn Wise helped spike the Lady Chucks with 13 kills and 25 digs. Mandy Bush contributed with 33 assists, and Danae Delozier recorded a team-high seven blocks.
The Lady Chucks are 12-1, while Altoona is 7-5.

Bishop Carroll rallies to win
SIDMAN - Bishop Carroll had its back against the wall after losing the first two games, but the Lady Huskies made an impressive comeback to defeat Forest Hills, 18-25, 25-27, 25-18, 25-16, 15-10.
Dani Link and Katie Wyland helped lead the comeback, each recording 17 kills. Lauren Oldham also did her part with 44 assists, 17 digs, and 14 service points in the match.
The Lady Huskies are now 8-6 after the victory.

Westmont Hilltop defeated Bishop Guilfoyle, 25-21, 25-19, 25-22, at the Pleasant Valley gym to improve to 12-4.
Guilfoyle received 17 service points and 15 assists from Rachel Rea, 10 service points from Allison Kristofco and eight kills and six service points from Melissa Wolfe.
The Lady Marauders fell to 13-4, while the Lady Hilltoppers are 12-4.

Bethany Hrubochack led in both digs, 10, and service points, 13, for the Lady Highlanders. Brooke Jones was the team leader in kills with 10. Heights improved to 5-10.
