I find it hilarious that Palin is being investigated for illegedley firing a state trooper. Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. I think we've got bigger fish to fry on both sides of the aisle. I say bring out all the dirt on both sides of this campaign and if there is nothing to hide then, so be it. Then, we can get around to the police firing issue. We've got congressmen/women who should be heading to federal prison. Let's focus.

Wow, another ignorant troll writing posts without basic civics class. Here Klaus: Amendment 16: "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration." Consider yourself educated. I can't believe someone like you is voting for my next president. I guess the fact that virtually none of Obama's policies are even Constitutional has escaped their little minds.

palin as the vp choice speaks more about the underlying problems in politics today the fact that she was chosen,(not by mccain apparently) should be of concern to all that actually put America before party it is sad to see mccain sink to new depths...as he and his running mate avoid talking about the problems we as Americans face every day he and his running mate are resorting to the same smear tactics that cost him election in 2000 I hope that this election will be a referendum on the style of politics that mccain has chosen.. as his campaign goes into panic mode..and is willing to say anything even the comments left here by some of the posters..are at best juvenile and out right disgusting I wonder what would make a person vent with such vulgarities? Does this type of post actually make you feel good about yourselves? do you really think it is funny? perhaps when we were 12 years old but as an adult...it is just sad God help us

Palin's talkin bout Obama's terrorists. How about this terrorist? ******* America" allegedly says Wright. How about Palin's Pals? Here's the head of the Alaska Succession Party, Joe Vogler, that her husband belonged to and at whose convention she delivered a speech as Governor: ""The fires of*****are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred of the American government, and I won't be buried under their*****flag." He also said, "I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've no use for America or her*******institutions." I would say that Governor Palin is consorting with terrorists. moveonmcpain, these posters are the same ones who have continuously supported the polices of the worst President in American history. So when somebody as incompetent as Sarah Palin comes along it’s no wonder they jump behind her. Watching American dive into the abyss is in their DNA. So is supporting incompetence.

moveon: wrong. It is factually incorrect and by definition wrong to call succession "terrorism". Unpatriotic I'll give you. Bryman: you must have information that the Democratic controlled Congress doesn't. The wiretapping was by no means un Constitutional as the patriot act stuck the guidelines in the Constitution by stipulating "probable cause". No one has a sacred right to privacy if the authorities have probable cause. Since no one has any evidence that anything else has transpired, you too, are wrong. But if you have information that Congress doesn't proving otherwise, I suggest you hand it over before you are charged with withholding evidence of an impeachable crime. AJ: Dukacus was down by more than that before Bush Sr. handed his ass to him. But I'm all for Obama getting elected and I hope he sticks to his word so that the country goes bankrupt within 3 years and liberal tools like you will be left with no one else to blame it on. Get an education and c

Timmy H.... Last time I checked suspending Habeas Corpus qualified as oppression of civil liberties. W did that to ALL OF US with his secret wiretapping. Other than that, I can't think of anything that has been done to Oppress Alaska..... Ready to raise your militia against GW????

Meanwhile Obama refers to all PA citizens as bitter voters, refuses to stand for the pledge or salute the flag, and has a wife who only NOW proud to be an American. But nice try moveon. Succession doesn't equate to terrorism. We have the Constitutional right to even start a militia to overthrow our government if it attempts to oppress our civil liberties.

Oh, and as for Palin's accusation of Obama's pallin' around with terrorists comments: About McCain's friendship with the 1960s radical David Ifshin: In 1970, Ifshin was president of the National Student Association. That year he actually traveled to Hanoi and urged American troops to rebel against the Vietnam War. Radio Hanoi broadcast his remarks. He even made the cover of Life magazine, standing behind Jane Fonda. People called him a traitor. They said that he may have cost American lives. And yet, McCain was the guy's pal. A clever advertising man could point out that when Ifshin died of cancer a few years back, McCain attended the funeral and spoke of how Ifshin "always felt passionate about his country." Adding, 'I learned a lot about courage from David." It's all true. And a campaign operative could end it there. What it DOESN'T tell you is that Ifshin changed, becoming much more respectable in later life. (Sort of like Ayers.) And that he and McCain reconciled
