Lori Lynn Smallwood, 45, 2521 Broad Ave., Apt. 1, Altoona, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born at Fort Dix, N.J., daughter of Robert A. and Laura L. (Hiles) Hennaman. Her father preceded her in death.

Surviving are her mother of Duncansville; a daughter, Stephanie M. Smallwood at home; two brothers: Michael A. Hennaman of Duncansville and Steven R. Hennaman and wife, Winnie, of Clearfield; a sister, Deborah L. Soellner and husband, Kevin, of Tyrone; four nephews: Anthony, Zacharia, Nathaniel and Kevin Jr.; and special friends: Josh and Ryan.

She was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God.

Ms. Smallwood had been employed as a medical secretary at Allegheny Orthotics with 10 years of service.

She was a 1980 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a graduate of Computer Learning Network as a certified medical assistant.

She enjoyed the Steelers, NASCAR races, the beach, bowling and music and loved taking care of her cats, Gizzy and Baby Girl.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona (www.stevens mortuary.com). A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Stevens Memorial Chapel by Pastor Walter Smith. Committal at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
