2 pounds lean hamburger from the local market
1 egg
1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup garlic powder
1/4 cup season salt
1/4 to 1/2 cup Merlot sauce from Tastefully Simple
Mix all the ingredients by hand through the hamburger, adding more bread crumb if needed. Once everything is evenly mixed, I roll a handful of hamburger the width of my palm together, flatten the burger about 1/2 inch thick, and last of all poke a small whole in the middle of the burger making sure not to go all the way through.
Spray cooking oil on the grill, cook on medium high for a few minutes flipping when each side is brown, flattening each burger after it's flipped to squeeze out grease. The remaining few minutes, cook the burgers on low/medium. This also allows plenty of time for adding cheese or other toppings to melt on the hamburgers.
