Three Lady Mounties named Nittany all-stars

Three Philipsburg-Osceola Lady Mounties have been named to the Mountain League Nittany Division all-star softball team.
P-O’s Taylor Harpster shared the catcher spot on the team with Penns Valley’s Casey Reish, while Lady Mounties Kelsey Gonder and Brittany Murphy were recognized at infielder and pitcher, respectively.
District 6 Class AA champion Bald Eagle Area placed five players on the all-division squad.
Huntingdon’s Brittany McNeal was chosen all-Allegheny Division as an offensive pitcher.
NITTANY DIVISION
Catcher — Taylor Harpster (Philipsburg-Osceola), Chelsea Reish (Penns Valley). First base — Meghan Granite (Bald Eagle Area). Infield — Katie Deardorff (Penns Valley), Kelsey Gonder (Philipsburg-Osceola), Erin VanVactor (Penns Valley).

Outfield — Danielle Gomola (Bellefonte), Paige Sward (Lewistown), Jessica Walker (Indian Valley), . Designated player — Tabitha Ola (Lewistown). Offensive pitcher — Brittany McNeal (Huntingdon). Pitcher — Tyler Lesser (Central Mountain).
Six picked for Classic
The inaugural S&T Bank Altoona Curve High School Classic rosters were announced Wednesday and six seniors from the Mirror’s coverage area have been selected to participate.
J.D. Mason, a pitcher/outfielder from Philipsburg-Osceola will be the lone representative on the Northern team.
The Southern team will feature Altoona outfielder Jordan Becker, Hollidaysburg pitcher Pat Smith, Central pitcher Tyler Nash, Juniata Valley pitcher/shortstop Drew Peterson, and Central Cambria catcher Matt Cornetti.
The game will be held at Blair County Ballpark on June 22 at 2 p.m.
Altoona Teener Major
Carnival Recreation’s Billy Heininger drove in four runs, and Jeff Ingram tripled and drove in three runs as Carnival topped Postal Express, 15-9, in an Altoona Teener Major game at Seitz Field Tuesday night.
Dustin Albright had two triples and a double for Postal.
