Obama coming to State College

POSTED: March 27, 2008

STATE COLLEGE - Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., will make a campaign stop in Happy Valley Sunday.

Sen. Obama is scheduled to speak at 11:30 a.m. on the Old Main Lawn of Penn State University, according to staff members of the regional Obama for President headquarters in State College.

With Pennsylvania and its 157 delegates the last major state up for grabs in the national race, both Sen. Obama and his opponent Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., are stumping across Pennsylvania in the weeks before the April 22 primary election.

Former President Bill Clinton will rally for his wife tonight at 8 p.m. at Rec Hall on Penn State University campus.

Sorry! I'll have to miss him--I'll be in church. That is, a church that proclaims Jesus' love for the white man as well as the black man. A church that supports Israel because the Yahweh tells Abraham that He will "bless those who bless (Israel) and will "curse those who curse" it. A church that recognizes America not as a perfect nation, but one for which a declining minority of Christians continue to pray.
