Bill Pfeffer

September 23, 2007
The Altoona Mirror
Age: 38

Residence: Altoona

High school: Bishop Guilfoyle, Class of 1987

My favorite sport: Basketball

I usually attend games with: Friends and my girlfriend, Julie

Favorite high school team: Altoona

Favorite college team: Notre Dame

Favorite pro team: Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

My favorite sports memory: Playing four years of college basketball at Mount Aloysius and then at Point Park College

The local athlete I most enjoyed watching while growing up: Doug West

My all-time favorite local coach: Paul Hasson

The most famous athlete I ever met: Barry Bonds (And he was the biggest goof when I met him).

My most prized autograph/picture is of: Charlie Weis

If I have a claim to fame as a fan it would be: We were at the BYU-Notre Dame game two years ago when Brady Quinn broke the school’s TD record for most in one game.

If I were czar of local sports: There needs to be more facilities, gyms, for kids to play sports in. There is nowhere for kids to go to play sports yearround anymore.
