Q. How far in advance do I need to notify the Circulation department to stop or restart my service or to arrange for a Vacation Pak?

Tuesday - 2 p.m. Monday
Wednesday - 2 p.m. Tuesday
Thursday - 2 p.m. Wednesday
Friday - 10 a.m. Thursday

Q. Will my service automatically stop on the expiration date?

No. Unless you notify us, your subscription is renewed automatically and you will be billed for the issues.

Q. How much does it cost to have home delivery?

Q. How do I receive credit for vacation stops or missing issues?

Your subscription's expire date is extended the same number of days for which your subscription is stopped for vacation. When you notify the office about missing issues, we credit your account in the same manner.

Q. How do I become an Altoona Mirror carrier?

According to Pennsylvania law, you must be at least 11 years of age or older. We have youth and adult carriers who deliver daily for us. If interested, email us or call the Circulation Department with your name, address and phone number and we will get in contact with you when a route is available.

Q. How do I make arrangements for paying for my subscription?

You can pay in person, by mail or credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover) for your convenience. Call the Circulation Department for details.

Q. What are your normal business hours?

Monday through Friday we are available by phone from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and weekends from 6:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. (voice mail available 24-hours a day). For over-the-counter business transactions we are available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Q. How can I tip my carrier for good service?

You may tip your carrier in person or add the tip to your subscription payment, and we will forward that money to your carrier. Many subscribers do this but this is strictly an option that is your choice.

Q. How do I file a delivery concern?

Simply email or call the Circulation department and we will take care of the rest. Customer service is very important to us, so please let us know if you're not satisfied with your delivery.

Q. Can I receive Sunday or weekend only delivery of the Altoona Mirror.

Yes, extended weekend delivery is available (Sat./Sun./Mon.). We do have Sunday only delivery as well. Please call for details.

Q. Can I receive the Altoona Mirror by mail?

Yes. Many subscribers receive their paper while on vacation or when they relocate to keep in touch with their hometown news. Call for details.

Q. Do you have gift subscriptions available?

Yes. The Altoona Mirror makes a perfect gift for any occasion. Please call us, and we will be glad to handle your request. We have a gift card that's available for any occasion.
