WEXFORD — Eric Shuke didn’t get to be part of the Tussey Mountain High School boys basketball team’s playoff run last year because of an injury in the Inter-County Conference championship game. The 6-foot-4 forward is healthy this time, though, and he’s a big reason the Titans will be making their first appearance in the PIAA quarterfinals since 2000. Shuke shouldered the load early before junior Elliott Chamberlain and senior Randy Zimmerman took things home as Tussey Mountain emerged with a 64-57 victory over Dylan Gravatt and District 10 champion Rocky Grove in the PIAA Class A second round Tuesday at North Allegheny High School. The Titans, now 24-3, will next play District 7 champ Sewickley Academy on Friday. Rocky Grove finished up 20-6 despite Gravatt’s game-high 35 points. Chamberlain led Tussey with 21 points and three steals, including a big one on an Oriole inbounds pass with 1:32 to play that he took in for a layup to give the Titans a six-point lead.
