Open house is set for Nov. 21 at BCB
The Altoona Curve announced that Blair County Ballpark will be open to the public for the team’s annual open house event on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will benefit two different area charities: the St. Vincent DePaul Society’s Food for Families Soup Kitchen and the United States Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program. Admission for fans attending the open house is a canned or boxed food item or a new, unwrapped toy. The day will consist of a bevy of fun for the family, as Santa Claus will make an appearance and meet with kids along with Curve mascots Steamer and Diesel Dawg. Kids can get their face painted, make holiday crafts and sign up for the 2010 Curve Kids’ Club. An all-access tour will provide fans a chance to get behind the scenes and see parts of Blair County Ballpark that aren’t normally accessible during the season.
