Party reps prep
Guy Ferguson of Manns Choice expects a busy schedule when he arrives in Denver for the Democratic National Convention in August.
This is Ferguson’s third convention, and he hopes his “old legs” can handle it.
Ferguson received the most votes for Democratic delegate to the convention in Tuesday’s primary election.
He will represent the 9th Congressional District and is committed to presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Voters across the state chose delegates in both parties who will attend their conventions and help select the presidential and vice presidential nominees to appear on the November ballot.
Voters could choose up to three delegates on the Democratic side, which is where the process becomes complicated. Ferguson and two delegates committed to Sen. Barack Obama received the top votes.
However, Clinton received nearly 68 percent of the vote in the 9th District.
