No hints from A.J.

April 24, 2007 - Neil Rudel

Altoona High speedster A.J. Alexander, one of the nation's more coveted football prospects, is playing the recruiting game quite nicely.

Which means he's not dropping any hints on his future intentions -- probably because he's not sure.

Upon return from recent visits to Tennessee and Florida State, Alexander raved about the weather and said the possibility of going to a Southern school appealed to him.

He's also being heavily recruited by Penn State, Pitt and Maryland, among others.

In today's Mirror athlete of the week, Alexander passed on a chance to list his favorite college, going to the "no preference" card.

He doesn't appear to have regional allegiances at the pro level, either, listing his favorite pro team as the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Here's hoping A.J. can enjoy a recruiting process that, judging from his response, seems wide open.
