The Greatest Christmas Song

December 24, 2012 - John Mehno
Seems like the radio has been playing Christmas songs since mid-November, and the burnout factor is high by now.

But this is one you probably haven't heard. It was recorded in the early 1960s, and it's too long to get much attention from radio stations these days. But it's the one that's worthy of the six-plus minutes it will take. It requires your full attention, so pour yourself something, sit back and savor it when things quiet down.

I know absolutely nothing about the technical aspects of music, but this combines jazz with a symphony orchestra in a way that's majestic and elegant. There's a link to click on right there on the right side of the screen.

Thanks for listening. And have yourself a merry little Christmas.
