October 27, 2012 - Darian Somers

The tents are all down, the residence have left and what was a city 100 feet by 100 feet and larger in population that some real U.S. cities doesn't exist anymore. Nittanyville had to be torn down by 7 a.m. this morning in order to prepare for the part we have been waiting for since the clock struck triple zeros in Iowa, GAMEDAY.

I am currently running on three hours of sleep, as I, Allen Sheffield, Brad Vasko and Chris Holmes were the last people to hit the sack in the Ville. We probably would have went to bed earlier, but our Pokey Sticks didn't arrive until 2:16 in the morning. Before we all went on a late night snacking mission, the residence of Nittanyville assembled for one final drumline. This drumline was one of the best I have ever witnessed and included a great speech from Troy Weller.

What was said in that speech will remain in Nittanyville, between the residence. However, one message should be made clear to the general public. The 110,000 people inside Beaver Stadium in 10 or so hours can make a difference in the game. Everyone needs to be on their feet, and no one should have a voice left after the game.

This game is the most important game within the next four seasons, and it is the most important game since the 2005 Ohio State game. We, not referring just to the student section, can make a difference in the outcome of this game. This is our time to show the world that Penn State is stronger and more united than ever.

Gates open two hours before kick off. You should be in you seat with one hour until kick off. Coach O'Brien asked that one simple thing of you. Tonight is when we show that we are one team.

Closing remarks

I can honestly say this week has been one of the best of my life. I have never had so much fun within one week's time. These are going to be memories that I will take with me for the rest of my life. I would like to give a shout out to the Nittanyville committee for making this week amazing.

Goodbye from Nittanyville, PA.
