October 26, 2012 - Darian Somers
Ladies and Gentlemen, tomorrow is gameday. Actually just about two hours from now. Thing have not quieted down since 5:30 this afternoon. Because it is Ohio State, this week is Rally in the Valley. With the festivities, the campers met the Penn State Blue Band's drumline and marched down Curtain Road. We didn't walk down the sidewalk; we literally walked down Curtain Road, while holding up traffic.
This was probably one of the best experiences of my life. I'm not really sure why, but it was honestly so much fun. Once we got to Rally in the Valley, men's basketball coach Pat Chambers stole the show as he was dressed as Michael Mauti and drove his golf cart into Rec Hall.
After we returned from Rally in the Valley, the Lionettes showed up to Nittanyville. Yeah, it made the day that much better for us, especially the male campers.
The atmosphere is unlike any other Friday night I have experience. This place is rocking tonight, especially after the drumline. However, it will calm down because we have to be out by 7 a.m. in the morning, meaning we wake up at 6 a.m.
Tomorrow will be a long day, but one of the best days of our lives. As for the rest of the night, tonight at midnight, it will be like New Year's. Let's just say cowbells will be ringing.
I will have one post before tomorrow's game.
Good night from Nittanyville.
