Olive Garden Restaurant

This evening we went out and dined at the Olive Garden. The service was excellent, friendly and professional. Atmosphere was lively upbeat and various groups of people were coming and going...a good sign that the food has potential.
I went with the Ravioli di Portobello: Ravioli stuffed with Portobello mushrooms and my husband had Eggplant Parmigiana. It was the 2 for $25 meal with appetizers in addition to the salad. The alfredo sauce that Jon ordered was excellent with the bread sticks. I can see going back just for this! I liked the fried zucchini with the red sauce, though, it did fall a bit bland compared to the Alfredo sauce.
I highly recommend the Ravioli stuffed with Portobello mushrooms. The mushrooms were exquisitely sautéed, light and yet rich with the sauce and tender pasta. Prices were very fair and for a local venue this is especially worthwhile for a delightful meal.
For dessert, we shared a White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. The cake lay on a zig zag pattern of raspberry sauce. Excellent and smooth with a touch of tart, this was a wonderful ending to a fantastic meal. I give this out of 5 stars, a solid 4.95 stars.
