People are moping.

These are tough times for sports fans. The Steelers are finished, the Penguins are on a losing streak, and Pitt basketball hasn't looked this bad in a long time.

It's all gloom and doom. To that, I say: Every year in Cleveland is like this.

It's too late for the Steelers, but we're only halfway through the NHL season. The Penguins have plenty of time to right things. Things may be less hopeful at Pitt this season, but it could turn around as quickly as next year.

Disappointed as everyone is about the Steelers' playoff loss, it's the start of a very interesting story. What happens now? What changes will they make? We already know the coordinators are coming back (much to the dismay of many) but there will be significant roster turnover.

There won't be any Steelers parties, but this week's NFL playoff matches look intriguing.

Snow is on the way, the forecast says. Stock up on drinks and snacks, throw a log on the fireplace, fire up the big screen and enjoy a great football weekend.
