We invited artists with unique talents to create one-of-a-kind gifts for the special people on your holiday gift list. (Actually, they don't have to be particularly special--we won't request testimonials.)

This multimedia show and sale, however, is very special indeed and will be up for your viewing and shopping pleasure November 2-December 23. It promises to be a terrific show and it would be terrifically sad if you missed it.

Classes start at 1 p.m. and last an hour or so. They're best suited for kids 7 to 12 years old. There is no charge but space is limited so advance registration is required.

If you missed out on the Juried Show, remember that the Members Invitational is coming up the first of the year. So finish that painting or print that photo or bake that pot and be ready when we call for entries.

There's a great show coming up next spring for those who see artistic possibilities in a piece of pipe or a broken plate. In April, we'll exhibit Junque Anew--works you've created from the detritus that gathers in your barns and yards.

Chas Fagan just unveiled his fifth commissioned sculpture of President Ronald Reagan, this one at the Reagan National Airport in Washington DC. Chas rocks. Operatic sensation Christina Joseph leaves a promising career at La Scala Opera House in Italy and returns to her roots, singing at the Country Palace in Nashville. There she finds an enemy in an aging country-western diva and a mentor in a mysterious janitor determined to make her country music's newest star. PHANTOM OF THE COUNTRY OPERA will be performed by the Clayburg Area Community Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, November 11-12, in the Claysburg-Kimmel High School Auditorium. $8 for students, $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the Claysburg Hometown Market (814-239-5373) or at the door.
