Not an enticing matchup
October 16, 2011 - Buck Frank
First Seattle, then Tennessee, and now Jacksonville.
The Steelers' 2011 home schedule hasn't really been outstanding through the early part of the season. Many NFL fans may be hard-pressed to name a total of 10 players from those three teams combined.
Don't worry, though, the Patriots and Ravens are coming soon. The Steelers just need to take care of business and put the Jaguars away early much like they did against Seattle and Tennessee and then try and win out in Arizona -- tough traveling but a weak opponent -- to be 5-2 heading into a key part of their schedule.
The Steelers aren't going to learn much about themselves today. If they win big, they were supposed to. If Jacksonville hangs around with them and possibly upsets them, the Steelers will just continue the pattern of looking good one week and bad the next.
It will be best for the Steelers to try and develop its running game a little more -- build upon last week's success. If they can get 100 yards out of Rashard Mendenhall, they should have no problems in beating Jacksonville, provided they take care of the football.
Strap yourself in and get ready for another possible snoozer.
