Blizzard ban coming

Let's hope Gov. Corbett doesn't take long to sign the bill banning the sale of Blizzard. (See the story on A1 today.) We obviously have a huge problem in this area with the synthetic drug. We have had numerous stories about the bath salts since January. And this area is far from alone.

Vanessa Kattouf, one of our newsroom interns, has a great story on A1 today about the Pennsylvania Civil War 150 Road Show coming to Bedford this week. The traveling show will make it to all 67 counties, but Bedford is the first in this area to host it.

Hats off to all of the volunteers in the area who helped out for the United Way Day of Caring on Wednesday. Jaquelyn Reilly, also a newsroom intern, visited several sites where volunteers worked on landscaping, painting and a host of other tasks. See her story on A2.
