Some of my favorite Flickr Artists

May 27, 2011 - Emily Dimov-Gottshall
Just thought I'd share some artists I come across that really catch my eye. I probably have over a couple hundred favorites, but here are five to start with. lol

Why?Whynot?! (flickr on-line name) or Suzy Sue is a long time fave. She incorporates found objects into these one of a kind frames. Truly unique and often humorous, she will take a photo of something that catches her imagination and transform it into a new world. I love her free spirited art pieces with their primitive edge.

Sarah Zambiasi's art is a new favorite of mine. She works in watercolor/pen and ink. Each piece has another layer to it that is deeper for the artist but leaves it open for the viewer to create their own understanding/response to the work.

Kirsten Chursinoff works in textile with incredible details and insight to nature. She grabs your attention with striking colors and intense patience for each piece.

Clare Hulfish is widely talented...the link below has a mini video she did. Enchanting worlds are just the tip of what she brings to the viewer.

Virgin honey's photographical genius is wrapped around finding beauty, humor and often hidden creatures in the every day. Of course, you fall in love once you swept away by her whimsy.
