The beauty of music

Amanda Clegg has a great story on A1 today about the PMEA Region III Music Festival, that was going on this week in Altoona. The culmination was this morning's concert in the AAHS auditorium.

The place was packed -- and no surprise, with the 180 top musicians from 48 high schools performing in the concert. The region encompasses Blair, Bedford, Cambria, Clearfield, Huntingdon, Centre, Somerset, Fulton, Clinton, Mifflin and Juniata counties.

Some of the students are now moving on to the all-state festival in Hershey next month, based on how they placed in Wednesday's audition process.

I love hearing live music, and judging from the audience in the auditorium, everyone else there felt the same.
