Sir Paul and the Penguins

I'll bet this is a tough day over at the Penguins offices.

The Consol Energy Center had its official debut Wednesday night with a Paul McCartney concert. They've been bringing people through the building for the last month, but that's been in carefully chosen small tour groups. Now the doors were open to more than 17,000 members of the general public.

You know what kind of mess that makes. Somewhere in that brand new building, someone dropped their nachos or spilled some beer or had bad aim in the men's room. It's kind of like when the new car picks up that first scratch in the Giant Eagle parking lot.

But it's OK. Now the building is broken in and ready for hockey fans next month.
