We're putting the finishing touches on our Joe Paterno book

Our Joe Paterno book is almost finished, and it's outstanding. Obviously I'm biased since I wrote half of it, but I can promise that any Paterno fan will find it to be informative and enjoyable to read.

We have worked very hard on this book for six months, with Neil Rudel writing the other half, graphics design artist Tom Worthington II designing it, photo editor J.D. Cavrich compiling the photos and Mirror GM Ray Eckenrode handling the marketing. These are talented people who have taken a lot of pride in delivering an outstanding product.

The book is called "They Know Joe" and will be out in a month, and you can pre-order it by clicking the link to the right. It details the legendary coach's career through the memories of his friends, family, colleagues and former PSU players.

When my career is finished, I believe this book will be my crowning achievement. Talking with all sorts of famous and intriguing football people around the country and telling their favorite stories about Paterno has been a blast. I know Neil feels the same about the stories he has compiled.

I'm not a salesman. I believe that if people want something they buy it and that salesmen rarely impact the decision.
