Central Pennsylvania was the home for a test last month -- a test that probably has warmed the hearts of terrorists around the world. The Associated Press reported Tuesday that investigators exploded a replica of the failed Times Square bomb near State College. The explosion destroyed other vehicles and scattered flaming debris, according to law enforcement sources who talked to the AP. The bomb would have killed or wounded numerous pedestrians and damaged buildings where Faisal Shahzad left his car on May 1, the sources said. Shahzad, 30, a self-described "Muslim soldier," pleaded guilty June 21. During his plea hearing, Shahzad traced his plot to a 2009 trip to Pakistan, where he said he received explosives training and funding from the Pakistani Taliban for his one-man scheme, the AP reported. He returned to the U.S. and loaded a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder with a fertilizer-fueled bomb packed in a gun cabinet, a set of propane tanks and gas canisters rigged with fireworks that he hoped would cause a chain-reaction explosion. Maybe the Shahzad plot was a trial run for something bigger. Is this something the terrorists should know? Hey, terrorists! If you built your bomb correctly, you would have killed a lot of people. The law enforcement sources who talked to the AP may have hurt our intelligence efforts and put Americans in danger by disclosing this information. What do you think? The extremists are among us in large numbers and more and more everyday it is becoming easier for them to move about. Arizona tried to step up to the plate, but was shot down by Obama and his liberal courts for now. If you don't beleive that Central PA could be a target, then you have no idea what is really happening Post a Comment | EZToUse.com |
