What's acceptable?

March 19, 2010 - John Mehno

Stuff that makes you crazy, No. 1429:

Had the sports talk station on the other day and they were discussing the Tiger Woods situation.

Some woman called in and said she didn't know what the big deal was. After all, "it's not like he killed someone."

Is that how low the bar is now? In a post-OJ world, do we not care about anything as long as it doesn't leave a corpse or two?

Look, the root of the Tiger story is a huge problem in his marriage, which is an issue for him and his wife. But beyond that we have a guy who has been aided and abetted in crafting a completely false image for the purpose of marketing himself as a commercial spokesman. Do blantant insincerity and abominable behavior not matter any more?

Thank you. Rant over.
