| | Legends and zombie killing take some time from Modern Warfare 2March 2, 2010 - Nick Recchia & Tom WorthingtonModern Warfare 2 has pretty much ruled my life for the last two months and it would seem that this trend is slowly ending for me and my friends. I think alot of people I know are starting to get a little tired of the game and are spending their time on some other games. I know Dragon Age is one of those games. Personally, I haven't been playing Dragon Age and have no want to but I finally cracked open my copy of Left 4 Dead 2 that I got for Christmas. I figured if no one was online to play MW2 that it was a good time to play a game I've wanted to play but haven't had the want to actually delve into. Let me start of by saying that I loved the first Left 4 Dead. So naturally I was really looking forward to playing the sequal. Now I don't know if it's because I knew what to expect or what, but I just don't get the same sensation I got when I played the first one. I think instead of being a little scared I was overwhelmed with anger. I think the game tries a lot harder to hit you when you are down. Which really tests my patience. If you are low on health and are about to die, rest assured that you will be attacked by every special infected they can throw at you. And that is where the fun starts to turn to anger which eventually makes me want to throw my controller across the room. I don't expect surviving a zombie apocolypse would be easy but a game about surviving a zombie apocolypse shouldn't be as hard as the real thing. When a game stops being fun that is when it stops being a game. But I will continue to play it. Heck, I will probably play some tonight. Why? Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment. Moving on. If you are a Halo fan and are looking for something to take up some of your time, be sure to pick up Halo Legends on DVD. Even if you not a Halo fan but love anime, this is a great buy. Halo Legends is made up of 8 different short stories meant to give fans a deeper background to the Halo universe. Each short is done in a different style, which range from a style like Dragonball Z to style like Ghost in a Shell. I think that it is great to see sides of the Halo universe that you would never see in a game and it really gives you a different perspective on things, especially the Spartans. Even with a few other things to grab a bit of my attention, I don't think that I am finished playing MW2 because I still think it's a great game. However, I am looking forward to some new games coming out later this year. Unfortunately, a lot of the games I am looking forward to won't be out until the fall. But at least the Halo Reach Beta will be here shortly and that is definitely something to forward to.
