Christmas gifts still keeping me busy

Well, it's been quite a while since my last post. I believe it's been since December 14. Of course the holidays are always hectic and coming back from all that means that the first few weeks afterwords are equally if not more hectic. But speaking of holidays, I had a pretty good one this year as far as gaming presents go. This year I got $75 in Best Buy cards, Modern Warfare 2, Left for Dead 2, an iPod Touch and 1600 MS Point card. Not too bad considering I didn't ask for most of that but glad I got it anyways. I'm especially glad I got Modern Warfare 2.

Originally I wasn't sure if I even wanted to play the game, I figured if I got it for Christmas then I would give it a try. I know most people were well on the MW2 kick well before Christmas but I just wasn't sure if I wanted to believe all of the hype. Basically I was still in Halo mode but the fact that a lot of my friends had it and were playing it really pushed me to get playing. And you know what? I'm glad that I did because it really takes me back to the days when my friends and I used to play CoD and MoH in leagues on the PC. Personally, I think that playing a FPS with a whole team of your friends against a team of randoms or another clan is some of the best gaming I can remember.

So basically I've been playing that for probably at least a few hours a night. My wife is being pretty cool about it. It helps that she's got Majora's Mask to play along with some other games that keep her entertained while I'm playing. Unfortunately I have yet to even break the seal on Left for Dead 2. I loved the first one and I'm sure once I get sick of MW2 I will be all over that game but for now I'm content with MW2 and I think I will be playing that still for awhile.

As for the Best Buy cards, I am already putting them to good use. I pre-ordered the Halo Legends 2 Disc dvd the other day. If you aren't aware, it releases on February 9. If you're a huge Halo fan like me then make sure you pick this up.

And for now my 1600 MS Points are MIA. I was planning on using them to download more songs for Rock Band but somehow it got lost somewhere in the Christmas presents and has yet to turn up. Hopefully I will find it soon because there are still a lot of great songs I want to download for Rock Band.
