| | Two shirts and $20 later...December 3, 2009 - Nick Recchia & Tom WorthingtonUnless you were hiding under a rock this past Friday you knew that it was Black Friday. Black Friday, the one day each year where everyone goes insane because they just have to have that new 40-inch TV, a new laptop or that mechanical hamster that their kids have been begging them for. Well if you were crazy enough to go wandering out in that mess, like me, then you may have run across a few good deals. I only risked my life to go to Old Navy. Old Navy? Why Old Navy, you ask? Well, Lego Rock Band for FREE with a $20 purchase, that's why. Lego Rock Band was not on the top of my list of games to get. In fact it was barely on my list. I love Rock Band so buying Lego Rock Band was a faint thought in the back of my head. So when my brother said he would trying to go out there and get a copy on Black Friday I figured, what the heck, I would go along. Luckily my wife and his girlfriend were already out in all the mess that is that day, so they got us a decent spot in line and we met up with them around 1am. Old Navy was already open for shoppers but the deal wasn't going on until 3am and the bracelets that we eventually got weren't passed out until that time. This made a lot of impatient people even more nuts because they wanted theirs now and couldn't wait like a sane person. Needless to say they were told they'd have to wait until 3. I knew that it was going to be a madhouse once we all got in there so my wife and I went in before hand and picked out what I wanted. That way we could get in, get my stuff and get in line before it go packed in there and I ended up standing in line for an hour. So one long wait, two long sleeve thermal shirts and $20 laters I got my copy of Lego Rock Band for the 360 and went home. This was my first early morning Black Friday experience and I'm glad to say that it could have been worse. I mean I could have been at Toys R Us where a small riot broke out. As far as the game goes...it's Rock Band with Lego characters. It plays the same and feels the same. Yes, there are minor changes from Rock Band and of course the same humor found in other Lego games is there. It states that it is a family friendly game on the cover and it definitely is that. So if you have younger kids and you want something to do as a family and worry about Rock Band, this is a good alternative. Plus the songs that I have gotten to play so far are pretty decent. -Nick Recchia Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | EZToUse.com |
