My pick: Steelers 23, Cardinals 20
February 1, 2009 - Neil Rudel
Since I didn't get my pick in the print edition this year, I want to at least go on record for today's Super Bowl:
Steelers 23, Cardinals 20
I think the lower scoring the game is the better it bodes for Pittsburgh, and I think it's mandatory that the Steelers establish a ground game to keep Arizona's more explosive offense off the field.
I'm worried about Arizona's receivers, neither of which I think the Steeler corners can guard very well.
The team that scores first is usually important but especially so in this game.
An early Arizona score could make the underdog that much more dangerous and force Pittsburgh a little out of character -- even though the Steelers have been an excellent come-from-behind team.
I've enjoyed doing the Mirror's Steeler Talk these last couple of weeks. Tune in tomorrow for a post-Super Bowl session.
