| | Rooting for good gameJanuary 8, 2009 - Neil RudelThe BCS final is tonight between Florida and Oklahoma. As is too often the case in these huge-buildup, one-and-done games, the performance doesn't match the hype. That is sometimes attributable to a terribly-flawed college football system that takes a month off before the big stage and coincides with a mindset in which a lot of the key players are considering leaving early for the NFL. I don't know whether the winner will be the true national champion, whether it would beat USC, Utah and Texas. So I'll just have to settle for a good game. Here's hoping we get one. Oh, I'm picking Florida because of the lack of defense in the Big 12.
