Pittsburgh's Brad Yoder Comes to Town

November 17, 2008 - Jim Price
If you’re looking for live music sounds this Monday night, a grand opening event at an Altoona area coffeehouse will bring one of Pittsburgh’s most acclaimed acoustic performers to town.

Brad Yoder will perform at the grand opening gala at The Commonplace Coffeehouse & Roastery, located at the PennView Suites Courtyard, 810 Wopsononock Avenue near Penn State Altoona.  Curt Wright will open the evening starting at 7 PM.

Brad Yoder is a frequent flyer around the Pittsburgh acoustic and coffeehouse scene, and has logged many miles touring the country to bring his music to new fans and audiences.  He has issued four CD’s to date, including his latest album from last year, Someday or Never.  In 2005, Brad added a bass player, Jason Rafalak, to his live repertoire.  He was voted “Best Acoustic Artist” four out of the last five years by Pittsburgh City Paper readers.  And earlier this month, Brad and Jason won the finals of the 5th Three Rivers Acoustic Challenge.

So cap your Monday night with some hot coffee and warm acoustic sounds.  For more information, call The Commonplace Coffeehouse at 946-4379.
