Art around Altoona

February 19, 2008 - Emily Dimov-Gottshall

As an artist, I've found inspiration from different sources. Some inspirations are directly from the sky with varying colors of hues and the added beauty of clouds. This photo is an example I took from last summer....a reminder of warmer times to come and skies filled with that stuff of dreams.

In other news, one of the local groups I recently joined is Art in Common. It's been around for a few years and enables various artists to exhibit works in group shows. Tonight they're having a meeting at the Church-in-the-Middle-of-the-Block hosted by John Rita. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and start sharing some of their works here.

Also, Quaint Corner Children's Museum Discovery Center now has a website. This is a great resource to see hours, book for children's parties and schedule school tours. The museum is going through a number of wonderful changes. More to come!
