Joyce DC tenure is off to good start

I’m incredibly impressed with the commitment Congressman John Joyce has shown to Altoona during his first few months on the job.

Since he was sworn into office, he has been a consistent visitor to our area and, when he comes to town, he constantly makes himself available to his constituents. He has made numerous public appearances, where many were able to speak with him one-on-one about the issues facing our nation today.

Joyce has also put an emphasis on our local small business community as well. He has visited Altoona Pipe & Steel, Curry Supply, Gardner Denver and many more. I am thrilled to see that Joyce takes his role as a member of the Small Business Committee seriously and meets with local business owners.

Before being elected to Congress, Joyce was a small business owner for over 25 years in our community. He has first-hand experience with the struggles that small business owners face every day and I know that he has been an advocate for them since he has taken office through proposals, such as making the 2017 tax cuts permanent for individuals and small businesses.

I am encouraged by the work that Joyce has done so far during his time in Congress, and the dedication he has to make his home of Blair County a better place to live and raise a family, so far is a big reason why.
