Hospitalists provide valuable services

How well Dr. Nancy Kenney’s in-depth article explained the invaluable role of hospitalists and this specialty (since 1996) to the patients and to the primary care physicians.

The hospitalist is well-trained, on site, available, knowledgeable, responsive and comforting to the patient and capably trained to act on his or her behalf providing timely much appreciated coverage to all involved.

We know this and recognize this from recent hospital stays and first-hand experience.

In our case, it was Dr. Kenney herself who carried out the mission as she so thoroughly articulated in her Mirror article. The times they are a-changing, and hospitalists provide the medical support needed for our times.
