Facts got in the way of writer’s opinion

I am writing in response to the letter penned by Bill Marr in which he wrote three columns of false claims and half truths about Democrats.

Marr mentions the “Obama Justice Department.”

Jeff Sessions was a Republican appointed by Donald Trump as was Rod Rosenstein, Matthew Whitaker and William Barr. Robert Mueller is a Republican appointed by Rosenstein.

Marr claims that the Clinton campaign colluded with the Russians through Fusion GPS. Fusion, a Washington D.C. company, subcontracted with Christopher Steele, a former British Intelligence Agent and head of the Russian desk.

That is as close as the Clinton campaign got to colluding with Russia.

The writer claimed Hillary Clinton signed off on selling our uranium to Russia in exchange for speaking fee money for her husband. There were nine members of the committee on foreign investments of which one was the State Department.

Jose Fernandez, a former assistant Secretary of State, represented the department on the committee. He has stated “Mrs. Clinton never intervened with me on any C.F.I.U.S. matter.”

That said, the Russian company purchased recovery rights and cannot export any U.S. uranium of which they need none. The Uranium One deal was to obtain the uranium resources in Kazakhstan, which, alone, exceeds the entire production of all U.S. uranium.

Claims that “illegal aliens” voted and that recounts that favored Democrats were fraudulent are unfounded. The only voter fraud was committed by Republican operatives in North Carolina where they just ordered another election.

Marr claims that Trump is a defender of the Second Amendment. He fails to mention when the president said, “Take the guns first, go through due process second.”

Marr also states the Clinton Foundation should be investigated when it was the Trump Foundation that was shut down by the New York Attorney General for misuse of funds.

The claim that “Obama cruised the planet apologizing for America” is a worn-out claim that is disproven when actual text is analyzed.
