Islamic conference spreads word of peace
UK’s largest annual Islamic convention attracted more than 38,000 people from 115 countries.
The Jalsa Salana event was held Aug. 3-5. Attendees benefited both from spiritual and worldly perspectives while standing for tolerance, love, peace, and harmony.
The event was streamed live on mta.tv.
Every year, the program organizer, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, founded by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, The Promised Messiah and Mahdi, provides a platform to people from all spheres of life, such as think tanks, government officials, NGOs, religious and scientific scholars, to unite and fight evil forces of division, racism, restlessness, hatred and materialism and to promote the message of “Love for all, hatred for none.”
Today, where extreme Islamic views are a real threat to our society, we must embrace true Islamic values of tolerance, love for country of residence and respect for people of all faiths.
Prophet Muhammad said, “A true Muslim is one from whose words and hands, others are at peace.”
That is, one must not hurt feelings or cause personal harm to others through speech or actions, and this teaching makes no discrimination and applies universally to all with no exceptions whatsoever.
