Addicts should pay for their Narcan

I would like someone to tell me why we are now giving free Narcan to people who insist on using drugs.

People keep saying drug use is a disease, but it’s not. It’s an addiction.

These people choose to inject drugs into their system. So why should we give them a free dose of Narcan when they were revived once and refused help, so we give them a free dose of Narcan in case it happens again?

This is like telling them “go ahead and overdose again, we have your back.”

This is crazy. I, on the other hand, am diabetic. I didn’t choose this. It is a disease. I take four shots a day to stay alive, and on bad days, I take extra insulin just to make it through the day.

When I’m having a bad day, I don’t see anybody rushing to my side to offer some free insulin to get by. Insulin costs take-one third of my monthly budget, and there isn’t any help for me or thousands of other diabetics in Pennsylvania.

If Gov. Tom Wolf wants to give drug addicts free medicine, let him pay for it, not the taxpayers.

And while Tom Wolf is handing out free medicine, how about sending some free insulin to all the diabetics in Pennsylvania?

Get rid of Wolf. Enough is enough.
