Dogs don’t belong in grocery carts

On a recent grocery shopping trip, my wife and I were checking out.

We saw a man checking out in another lane with a dog sitting in the shopping cart on top and his groceries underneath.

Don’t get me wrong: I like animals as much as everyone else, but they belong in their right place — not a grocery cart.

I put my meat, cheese, bread, fruit, etc. in those carts without knowing that a dog’s rear was there also. I went to the store manager and informed them that I was unhappy.

More people need to start saying they want it stopped.

This dog was not a service animal.
