Water Authority deserves credit
At 7:15 a.m. sharp on Sept. 25, five angels from heaven arrived at 854 37th St., Altoona, to fix the better part of a 100-year-old water line from the city main on 37th Street to the curb.
From the time they arrived, they worked non-stop, all in unison, like a well-oiled machine. They were very professional and knowledgeable, very neat and clean.
They stopped at 11:40 a.m. for lunch. They took only a 15-minute lunch break. At 11:55 a.m., they went back to work and finished the job at 1:30 p.m.
The powers that be should be proud and take notice when it comes contract time.
